African Welding Company (AWC) is a 100% Afrox owned entity and is the exclusive distributor for voestalpine Böhler Welding in South Africa and in selected Sub Saharan Africa countries. Although AWC operates independently from Afrox and voestalpine Böhler, AWC is in the privileged position to be backed by these two leading companies in the welding industry. Afrox was founded in 1927, listed on the JSE in 1963, and has prospered by constantly meeting the needs of customers and developing solutions that add value to customers’ applications. Afrox’s parent company – The Linde Group, is a global gases, engineering and technology company. Afrox operates in South Africa and in nine other African countries and manages operations in five more countries on behalf of The Linde Group.
